Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

 

Contact forms

Contact forms on our site collect information including your full name email address, telephone number, post code and the content of your message. Records of submissions made via contact forms are kept for customer service purposes whilst the inquiry is ongoing, and then deleted. We do not share the information submitted via contact forms with any third parties.

Our form also includes and option to join our email mailing list. if you opt to join our mailing list, your email address will be stored on our record indefinitely, unless removal is requested. You can do this by following the ‘unsubscribe’ link in any of our email newsletters, or by contacting us by email at churchgategallery@live.co.uk. We do not share email addresses on our record with any third parties.

 

Cookies

When purchases are made via our website, or in our gallery, we collect and store certain personal details on our records, to comply with regulations regarding the sale of artwork on commission. These details are your full name, your postal address and telephone number. We do not share any of these details with any third parties. Purchase records are kept indefinitely. Purchases made via Own Art

If you apply for a loan via Own Art, your personal details may be stored and used by Own Art, and Hitachi Personal finance, the loan provider for Own Art. As detailed in the previous section, your details will also be stored on our purchase records, and can be removed upon request.

Please note that we can only remove data stored by us regarding Own Art purchases. We cannot access, remove or amend data held by Own Art or Hitachi Personal Finance, and requests to view or remove this data should be made to the relevant party.
